This was our first project with The Royal Horticultural Society and we were very pleased to work with Detail Design Consultants, who were the main contractors.
The brief was to create over-sized floral shapes that were highly reflective. These were to be used to decorate the inside of one of the marquee structures which had a ceiling height of over 6 metres.
The lightweight flowers were manufactured from purpose-made tools from which we made individual moulded petals. These, in turn, were attached to a central core to make a complete bloom.
The finished pieces were suspended on fine catenary filament and attached to the ceiling structure with specialist fixings.
As well as the giant flowers, there were numerous high-gloss, moulded butterflies and dragonflies.
