With the Women’s Euros captivating fans once again this summer, we’re reminded of one of our favourite past projects — a bold, playful installation that brought the beautiful game right into the heart of London’s Carnaby Street.
In 2022, we were commissioned to mark the countdown to the UEFA Women’s Euro with something unforgettable. The result? A giant table football installation suspended above one of the most iconic shopping streets in the world.
Bringing Football to the Streets, Literally
Working with the creative team behind the UEFA Women’s Euro 2022 campaign, we were tasked with building a street-wide feature that would stop people in their tracks. The concept: transform Carnaby Street into a larger-than-life foosball table, with each player on the rods representing one of the top-seeded nations participating in the tournament.
Nine-foot-high female foosball figures in team kits hovered above the street, mounted on custom-engineered rods that spanned the full width of the iconic Soho strip. A bold celebration of women’s sport, it turned the everyday into something extraordinary and drew huge crowds (and camera phones).
A Statement Piece That Matched the Moment
At the time, anticipation for the tournament was huge. Women’s football was gaining the recognition it deserved, and London was proud to host a number of key matches. Our installation played a small part in that cultural wave, creating an energetic, fan-focused landmark that brought people together and made the build-up to the tournament impossible to miss.
From concept development through to engineering, fabrication, and installation, our team ensured every element was bold, joyful, and totally Instagrammable, a nod to the inclusive, fun spirit of the game.
Fast Forward to Today
Now, as the Women’s Euros return for 2025, we’re seeing the sport go from strength to strength. Bigger audiences, wider media coverage, and a new generation of fans coming through. Looking back, we’re proud to have played a part in promoting the tournament during such a pivotal moment in women’s football.
The Carnaby foosball takeover was more than a celebration, it was a statement. And today, its energy still resonates.
